CGN Brazil Energia Inaugurates Engineering, O&M Dispatch Center in Fortaleza
On April 29 local time, CGN Brazil Energia’s Engineering, Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Dispatch Center was officially inaugurated in Fortaleza, Brazil. The center is designed to serve as an integrated engineering and O&M management platform supporting the company’s transition toward an asset-light development model, marking a key step in its transformation toward integrated coordination, intelligent dispatch, and specialized services.

The center is a strategic pillar for CGN Brazil Energia to deepen its strategic layout and advance its asset-light transformation. It integrates three core functions: engineering and O&M dispatch, spare parts sharing, and skills training. By creating an interconnected “local area network” system that enables personnel coordination, power supply security, and network integration, the center will coordinate production and O&M resources for 11 operational renewable energy projects across four states in northeastern Brazil. Through centralized aggregation, integrated control, and smart empowerment, it aims to improve the efficiency and quality of engineering and O&M services, enhance emergency response and service support capabilities, and provide full-chain support for the pipeline of future greenfield renewable projects. Externally, the center will serve as the key platform for exporting engineering and O&M service capabilities, developing market-oriented, specialized service products, continuously cultivating new growth drivers, and building a regionally competitive asset-light business segment.
Located in Fortaleza, the capital of Ceará state in northeastern Brazil, the center benefits from well-developed transportation and logistics networks, a robust industrial support system, and proximity to two major logistics hubs in the northeast — the Port of Pecém and the Port of Fortaleza — with mature maritime, road, and warehousing logistics systems. Leveraging these location advantages, the center can efficiently serve renewable energy projects across the entire northeastern region, significantly improving cross-regional resource allocation, O&M response speed, and coordinated service capabilities.
Mr. Li Mingzhu, Chairman and President of CGN Brazil Energia, stated at the inauguration ceremony that the establishment of the Engineering, O&M Dispatch Center is not only an important measure to optimize CGN Brazil Energia’s business operations but also a critical step in deepening the company’s strategy and promoting its asset-light transformation. Going forward, the company will take the dispatch center as a new starting point to firmly pursue the asset-light development path, continuously strengthen resource integration, technology empowerment, and localized operations, and further consolidate the foundation for CGN Brazil Energia’s development in the local market.
Jade Afonso Romero, Vice Governor of Ceará, said during a recent discussion with CGN Brazil Energia that the establishment of the asset-light engineering and O&M platform in Ceará will bring advanced O&M technologies and management expertise to the region, help cultivate high-quality local technical talent, promote the development of the regional renewable energy industrial chain, and achieve a deep integration of technological know-how with local resources.
