Subsidiary of CGN Energy International—CGNIE(YN)’s Technology Innovation Center Delivers Lecture at HUST’s China-EU Institute for Clean Energy

  • Recently, under the coordination of CGNEI headquarters’ Human Resources Department and leveraging the professional platform advantages of the Technology Innovation Center of CGNInternational Energy (Yunnan) Co., Ltd(abbreviationCGNIE(YN)) —a subsidiary of CGNEI—Liu Hui, Deputy Business Director of CGNIE(YN), was invited by the China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy at Huazhong University of Science and Technology to serve as a guest lecturer for its “2026 International Summer Camp on Green Energy for a Zero-Carbon Future.” Focusing on the current status, industrial layout, and development trends of China’s and global clean energy sectors, she developed and compiled bilingual (Chinese-English) course materials titled Application of Energy Storage Technologies in Power Grids. She delivered a dedicated presentation to over 30 undergraduate and postgraduate students from countries including Italy, the Netherlands, and Greece, fully demonstrating the company’s technological innovation capabilities and its ability to export technical expertise internationally.

    The lecture closely centered on the application of energy storage in power grids. It began with major grid blackout incidents worldwide over the past three years to introduce the topic, and then provided a detailed introduction and analysis of why power grids require energy storage, the classification, principles, and evolution of storage technologies, as well as application scenarios, business models, development challenges, and future prospects. The class featured frequent interactions and lively discussions, offering valuable practical cases and professional knowledge for academic exchanges on green energy between China and other countries.

    This lecture marked the first external innovative business activity undertaken by the Technology Innovation Centerof CGNIE(YN) since its establishment, and also the first time that CGNEnergy International has externally provided technical training services. It represented a breakthrough from internal R&D to external empowerment of technological innovation outcomes. The event fully demonstrated the core positioning of the Technology Innovation Center of CGNIE(YN), and highlighted the company’s fundamental mission and industrial value as a light-asset innovation development platform of CGNEI—one that is deeply engaged in clean energy technology innovation and actively explores sustainable, efficient, and low-risk innovative business models.
