Bridged by Languages, Gather for Mid-Autumn Festival!CGN’s 1st "World Language Bridge" Cultural Festival Concludes Successfully.
From September 9 to 12, CGN Energy International successfully held the inaugural "Moonlit Mid-Autumn Festival · Languages Connect the World" Global Language Bridge Cultural Festival and Roots Exploration Program. Expatriate employees from eight countries including Malaysia, France, Ireland, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, Laos, South Africa and Namibia, together with Chinese staff, gathered in Shenzhen. They made friends through languages and shared cultural sentiments, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival in an immersive experience. During field visits, they gained insights into CGN’s development momentum, appreciated the profound Chinese cultural heritage, and embarked on a special journey of cultural roots exploration.

On September 9, following registration and Hanfu dress-up, the Global Language Bridge Cultural Festival officially kicked off. Chinese and foreign employees competed on the same stage, testing their knowledge in Chinese and building a bridge of friendship through languages. Five themed teams were formed for the contest: Moon Rabbit Team, Sweet Osmanthus Team, Chang’e Team, Mooncake Team and Festive Lantern Team. The event featured five sessions: Graceful Debut for team showcase, Knowledge Sprint for multilingual quiz, Melody Relay for listening-and-passing sentences, Moon Rhythm &Songs for lyric recall, and Osmanthus Moon Fun for group interactive Q&A. The venue was filled with excitement and applause. After fierce competition, the Sweet Osmanthus Team claimed the championship, the Mooncake Team took the runner-up prize, and the Moon Rabbit Team won the third place.

Beyond the competition, CGN Energy International set up an immersive Chinese-style Mid-Autumn Garden Fair. Experience booths featuring bilingual lantern riddles, intangible cultural heritage rubbing, osmanthus tree wish-making, arrow tossing, ring toss and Hanfu photo spots drew large crowds. Between contest sessions, Chinese and foreign staff roamed the garden, solved riddles, made handcrafts and wrote wishes, unwinding and enjoying the festive charm amid traditional pastimes.

From September 10 to 11, CGN Energy International organized supporting roots exploration tours, taking employee representatives from regional subsidiaries out of the venue for on-site visits. The delegates visited Daya Bay Nuclear Power Base, learning about CGN’s nuclear power development history and safe operation practices. They then travelled to the Twenty-Four Histories Academy in Longgang to try seal script calligraphy tracing and experience the charm of traditional Chinese calligraphy. On the next day, the group explored Shenzhen’s landmarks of innovation and culture: visiting DJI Store at OCT Harbour and the INNO100 Global Innovation Flagship Store to try Bambu Lab 3D printing; stopping by Shenzhen Talent Park to meet robotic baristas and experience cutting-edge innovation; and wrapping up with a tour of Nanshan Museum to trace Shenzhen’s urban evolution and delve into profound Chinese civilization.

Looking ahead, CGN Energy International will continue to advance corporate culture and brand building. It will leverage traditional festivals to host more warm, high-quality cultural integration activities, build communication platforms for Chinese and overseas employees, rally the joint strength of its multinational team, and inject vibrant cultural impetus into the high-quality international development of the company.
