  • On March 26, the Korea Industrial Safety Association (KISA) awarded CGN Yulchon a certification recognizing its 6,834 consecutive accident-free days (spanning 13 terms) following a rigorous evaluation.

The Korea Industrial Safety Association (KISA) is a quasi-official professional organization responsible for safety education, consulting, and certification in South Korea. Its accident-free certification acknowledges the effectiveness of a company’s safety management system and operational performance. This certification helps energy, chemical, and manufacturing enterprises in South Korea pass periodic evaluations under the Process Safety Management (PSM) framework and reduces operational insurance procurement costs.

Aligned with CGNEI's directives, CGN Korea has actively advanced safety culture development, integrating CGN’s safety, quality, and environmental (SQE) management standards into frontline operations. This has steadily improved the power plant’s SQE performance. In recent years, CGN Yulchon has earned multiple government and industry accolades, including the Presidential Quality Award and the Outstanding Gas-Fired Power Plant Award. Additionally, the plant’s maintenance department was honored as “CGN’s 2024 SQE Benchmark Team.”
